In preparing for the development of the 10 year strategic plan, A Place for Children, the CDI engaged in substantial consultation with children, parents and other key interests in the area.  The CDI also undertook detailed research into the needs of children and families in Tallaght West and mapped existing provision in the area to address those needs.  Preparatory work also included a review of national policies, programmes and structures relating to services for children and families, an investigation of integrated approaches to service delivery and an analysis of costs, benefits and expenditure for children.
